Last Monday we’ve met in Posterdam Platz in Berlin to share words and presence for the world peace, at World Wide Vote. I wrote this text below with all my heart, sharing learnings from my experience in this life. I share it here with you all, beautiful brave seeds, in Love and care we are birthing this new reality.

Good afternoon, dear friends,
I’m Jade Rainho and I’m here today to share with you all some lessons I gathered during my life until now.
I was born in northern Brazil, in the Amazon forest, in a town called Tucuruí. My parents met there doing volunteer work at an Assurini indigenous village. In 1985, the year I was born, the first major dam in the Amazon was inaugurated there, which destroyed much of the forest, drowned countless forms of life and displaced many native communities. The hydroelectric plant was built to provide a basis for the mining industry development in the country. The first of a series of dams that are severely hurting the green heart of the world.
I lived there during all my early chilhood and I still keep alive within me the memory of the forest’s great beauty. I remember the forest being right at the backyard of my house, so gigantic and vibrant, it delighted me so much! I felt it calling me, I wanted to go and be with it and all the multicolored singing birds that sang through it, all the animals staring at us, all the magical and mysterious world that was in it to discover. At the same time I felt that if I went into it, I would never want to come back again…
Today, looking to all this, I feel I am the daughter of the most sacred nature and also of largest environmental disaster.
When I turned 07 years we went to live in Mato Grosso. This Brazilian state is best known for having been ruled by the “King of Soya”, the world’s largest exporter. Almost all the cerrado, native local forest, was cleared to make way for accelerated growth of monoculture agribusiness. Fields and fields of the same landscape, lands and lands of a few owners and mechanized industrial production. Transgenic and very poisonous seeds to ensure maximum crop harvest. And the cerrado, contorted forest, which, as a monk told me once, looks like grown up bonsai trees, is becoming extinct without protection.
Living on these lands, before any of us, were indigenous tribes. Today, from over 1000 indigenous peoples there are only about 215, living in a situation of genocide and social limbo. Those people are condemned by a system of domination, exploitation, prejudice and exclusion in which laws and bureaucratic mechanisms maintain conditions of total inequality. Although Brazil’s 1988 constitution guaranteed the right of the demarcation of their lands within five years, few of them have been recognized until now.
The situation is of great barbarity: to get an idea, the Guarani-Kaiowá, ethnic group from which the majority of the population is already living in the margins of cities, has a life expectancy of 45 years, only comparable to the Afghan people. They live in a dreadful war, where many indigenous people are killed in land conflicts and there is no future life perspective, maintaining the absurd suicide rate of 01 person per week, which includes children from 09 to 14 years old. When they go to the cities, the Kaiowá are called “bugre”, a derogatory nickname that defines them as a sub-race. As if the skin color and descendance made a difference in who we are.
In my intent to act and help healing this terrible reality, in 2012, I offered my work as a documentary videomaker to a family of Guarani-Kaiowá shamans as a way to give them a voice and some channels to bring their stories to the public. In their village, they live with the harming impacts of illegal mining inside indigenous land for 40 years.
Despite all these people’s pain, as I was hearing their words and witnessing their gestures, I would always find sweetness, clarity and serenity. I’ve learned from the shaman named Bright Flower many things that concern us all. In my life path, I also always learnt from Mother Nature and from the study of philosophies that integrate and share knowledge from its contemplation.
_For the shaman Bright Flower and for the Kaiowá people, the cosmos is always in motion: everything changes all the time. All events, people and beings have equal importance. We are all linked to each other. The stone which the miner explodes to turn into asphalt also has a spirit. The earth is a living body, such as a human body, and everything is important and sacred in it. For the corn to grow healthy its spirit needs to be happy and in harmony with us, so the Kaiowá pray and sing to it, so it can feel all their love and gratitude and bring its peace on earth, shining in a joyful and abundant harvest.
_We are part of nature and all that exists. All together. One infinite. Everything dies and is reborn all the time. Inside and outside each one of us. In the coming and going of continuous flow in the river of life. As the seasons in nature, we are made of cycles, there are autumns, winters, springs, and summertimes in our souls.
_This life is a precious opportunity for us to learn and evolve together. At all times. With openness and love. Hearing the voice of a generous heart. Discovering within ourselves what makes us vibrate. The secure voice of an open heart always knows how to guide us and what to do. The heart is the drum of life, it has the power to resonate its pace. Our essential drum that creates movement and beat. Through its veins it feeds all meetings and destinations. It feeds the soul in many directions to expand life. In the purity of Love. In its eyes, everything that lives is holy.
For me, the deep suffering of indigenous people reflects directly the biggest mismatch of our time. The fast pace of life has isolated us in cities. Here everything is covered, enclosed, hidden. Nature is only allowed in small spaces. The gardens are imprisoned. In our daily life, we are just allowed to live with our desires and illusions. This limited life experience, in which we are only sharing with other humans and a few animals that we raise and tolerate close, is based on a fear of Being and learning from everything that we Are. Within the mystery of all things that our rational understanding does not reach in the first instance. As if Being was limited to immediate human experience …
I feel that now is the time of a great change, there is a great call for us to return to our Mother Nature. It is time to awaken to her, take care of her and learn with and from her. While the current society remain disconnected from this unity with all living things, great masters of nature, such as ancient forests like the Amazon, will be destroyed by an immediate and blind progressive civilization, sucking and extracting to accumulate and add value.
Forests are the source of everything. There are many medicines and ways of being living there that we still ignore. Abundant and precious life that needs to be cared for. Ground water, fauna, flora animals and native cultures. And lots of things from the great Spirit which we have not yet accessed because of the limits of our restless mind that still imprisons us within the perception of separation. Gradually we are liberating ourselves and expanding our consciousness to realize the inestimable immensity of all the blessings given to us by Mother Nature. These green sanctuaries of life: everything in them expresses love and harmony to heal and feed all forms of being.
We need to remember. We all have a purpose in being here. Each of us is different and special in our own way. To learn who we really are we need to give ourselves space and time to listen carefully to the voice of the open heart. We need to give ourselves permission to lose our shells and allow the breaks and deaths necessaries to be born like new sprouts to who we really are. And as brave seeds, we connect with our true essence, awakening to the infinite Love that live through us.
I am a human being. We are all humans, a big beautiful family spreaded around the Earth. But we are also also animals, plants, sons of nature and all pulsing life. I am with you. And together we are divine expressions of Love, Beauty, Art, Life. I look around at everything that lives, and all I see is Love, Learning, Beauty, Art, Life. Holy, Precious, Shining. This is our essence and we have the unique opportunity to get along with the differences, learn from them and enjoy the wonderful opportunity of being here together. Mother Earth is calling us to return to it, in harmony and balance and to heal ourselves together with her.
So I dream and I seek, every day in my heart and walk, to sow our bright garden. Free, loose, immense. Where we can all enjoy together the precious lessons of this life. Learning along with the essential nature. With no fear, no need to sort and limit the existence of things to feel safe. No, geographical, existential, human boundaries. No guilt and imposition. With acceptance and kindness.
I dream with the day we will hang out and learn the language of the birds, the flow of the fish, the presence of the ancient trees, the beauty of wild horses running freely…
FORÇA DA PAZ, CRESÇA SEMPRE SEMPRE MAIS! QUE REINE A PAZ E ACABEM-SE AS FRONTEIRAS NÓS SOMOS UM!
I sing for a free world. Without separation between what we are and everything else. Let us love as one. Give up the fears of the unknown. My heart beats with all of you. Beautiful, infinite, organic. In harmony and peace. Our hearts beat together the drum of life. Because we are here together and we are channels for more and more life. In eternity of the present moment, we live and plant our free garden.
There is no more time for lack of Love
Every life is an art piece
Together we are immensity
